 Summary:

The program of economic education judges and legal advisers of commercial court in Serbia is consisted of six one-day seminars allocated in two three-day blocks. Participants of the program are judges and legal advisers of all first instance commercial courts in Serbia and of the Commercial Court of Appeals of Serbia. The first three-day block encompasses the following topics: (1) basic principles and notions of economics; (2) costs, producer’s behaviour, competition and markets; (3) firms and related notions: assets, capital, financial statements (income statement and balance sheet), bankruptcy process, privatisation and public enterprises. The second three-day block encompasses the following topics: (1) financial intermediation and capital markets (basic principles, notions and institutions, operations of banks and insurance companies); (2) labour markets; (3) international economic relations; (4) intellectual property rights and their protection; (5) public choice theory: how statutes are adopted; (6) economic analysis of litigation.
